Hi All,
LillianTooPahtChee
Its been a fierce dragon here that arrived during Lunar New Year day on the 23rd of January 2012... that was the day the world endured the solar flare... and here in KL it caused a freak storm... as for me I have been ill all through the new year... feeling a little out of sorts... nevertheless it has not stopped me from enjoying the start of the year!

And just catching up... I gave a talk at MID VALLEY MEGAMALL which was a blast - so nice meeting my home crowd .. then I gave a lunar New Year party on the 7th day of New year - also known as the day of YAN YART which literally means "everyone's birthday". This is an auspicious day to get together with friends and make merry so it was lovely having some intimate friends over ... was not feeling very well but for me personally its always like this... the Dragon energy which actually did not start exerting its strong influence until February 4th is always preceded by quite severe illness. Its been like this for the past three Dragon years....

I am eagerly awaiting the energy of the Dragon, my secret friend - and for those who do not know about the magic of astrological feng shui .. in the Dragon year those having any kind of afflictions caused either because of clash with the Dragon (such as those born in the year of the DOG) or who are hit by conflict energy - what you need to do is to get an image of the Rooster or Phoenix - and the affliction is immediately appeased.

The new feng shui energy of the 2012 year is felt only after February 4th because this is the start of the solar calendar...what is also referred to as the HSIA calendar which must be differentiated from the Lunar calendar which identifies the day of the Lunar new year that all Chinese celebrated on January 23rd this year.

So I wish everyone a fabulous new year - I have a whole lot of very exciting news and new developments this coming year so do stay tuned via my Ezine. So many new fronts are opening up for me that I have to catch my breath and remind myself to take things easy ... am not so young any more (also recently celebrated by 66th birthday would you believe ?) ... but its been lovely having this channel of communication with all of you - I truly love being part of this brave new world of the Internet ... catching up with you and especially those of you who have signed up for the Paht Chee online - please savour it and enjoy it as much as you can... Paht chee is something that keeps surprising you as it makes you see things you previously missed ...so please do enjoy!

Happy New Year to All,
Lillian

Love Is In The Air But Beware...

Love!!!

Love is in the air... and Valentine's Day is just around the corner. It's that time of the year when Hallmark and stationary stores, florists and chocolatiers are smiling... listening happily to the sounds of "ka-ching" as their cash registers ring up sales . Posh restaurants hold special celebrations and many couples book tables months in advance...choosing to share a romantic candlelit dinner together on Valentines Day.

But there are also those of you that may not be so happy...perhaps you are still lamenting the fact that you are single with no prospect in sight...you haven't met your soulmate yet...and for that matter not anyone that would even come close!

Still looking for your soulmate?
Activate your "Peach Blossom" Luck.

What can you do? How can those of you who are single find your soul mate this year? One of the best ways is to activate your Peach Blossom Luck! Here's all you have to do:

1) First of all, you must know your Chinese animal sign of birth...are you a rat, a horse, a dragon etc.?

2) Secondly, you must know the four Chinese zodiac signs and directions that will bring peach blossom luck - they are the rat, the horse, the rooster and the rabbit!

So your "Peach Blossom" animal and direction...depend on your animal sign of birth as follows:

If you are a RABBIT, BOAR or SHEEP - you peach blossom animal is a RAT (north)
If you are a RAT, MONKEY or DRAGON- your peach blossom animal is the ROOSTER (west)
If you are a SNAKE, ROOSTER or OX - your peach blossom animal is the HORSE (south)
If you are a TIGER, HORSE or DOG - your peach blossom animal is the RABBIT (east)

FlowerOfRomance

3) Find a beautiful bejeweled image of your peach blossom animal and place it in the appropriate animal direction (for example the RAT's home direction is NORTH so if you are a Rabbit, Boar or Sheep you would place a beautiful bejeweled RAT in the NORTH.) Be sure to place it on a shelf or table and not on the floor and be sure to buy a beautiful bejeweled animal... not some sad looking image from a second-hand shop or roadside stand. Think about who you want to attract!

Try this easy formula to activate the peach blossom luck in your life because it really works...but remember this is for those of you with SERIOUS love intentions...for those of you looking for your soulmate, someone you would like to marry which is a lot different than just a romantic fling.

But here's one thing I must caution everyone about this year.

Beware of the External Flower of Romance Star in 2012

In the Paht Chee chart this year we find three stars influencing the energy of the year. One of these stars is called "The Flower of Romance Star" which can be either internal or external. When it appears in the chart and is internal it suggests there is genuine love and caring between husband and wife...but when it appears as external it becomes a star which fuels potentially painful passions. Those hit by this external star my play around and engage in affairs out of wedlock which are certain to create sadness and deep rifts in their lives.

Problems and heartache come
with the External Flower of
Romance Star this year
So a word of caution in 2012 - unfortunately in this year's chart, the Flower of Romance star is external...suggesting the occurrence of infidelity within long term love relationships causing problems and heartache.

Here's What You Can Do...

The best way to overcome this serious affliction, especially if you are worried about infidelity in your marriage is to you wear the amulet that protects against third party interference in your relationship or you can also invite the image of the Dog and Rabbit to counter the affliction. This subdues the possibility of infidelity causing problems for you, as the Dog/Rabbit presence creates a special "cross" with the Dragon/Rooster affliction in this year's chart.

So activate your peach blossom luck if you're still single and longing to meet your soulmate...and for those of you happily married be forewarned of the strength of this star and take strong precautions. Bring good feng shui protection into the bedroom...be particularly conscious of auspicious sleeping directions that protect the family and your marriage relationships this year!

To long lasting and happy relationships!
Lillian

Empower Your Fu Dogs this year

Each New Year Chinese families invariably turn to the Gods to request good health and pray for a harmonious year ahead. Taoist and Buddhist families, especially with members of the older generation amongst them, realize the importance of consecrating the Buddhist or Taoist gods that are worshipped on their altars. This represents the "spiritual side" of their New Year preparations.

Which reminds me... many readers have asked if feng shui figurines such as the Weath deities, Kuan Kung and Fuk Luk Sau that are displayed in their home for auspicious good fortune also need to be consecrated.

Imbue your Fu Dogs with Yang Energy

Generally the answer is no, unless you wish to, in which case it will not do any harm. Figurines alway have the potential to become empowered with prayers and mantras. But it is not necessary to consecrate these since merely having their physical images inside the home is usually sufficient to create the energy of their presence, especially when they are placed in auspicious corners of the home.

Protective Energies For Your Home

In addition to enhancing the good chi of homes, it is also important to ensure that your home is imbued with protective chi and here is where the presence of protective Fu Dogs can be very effective.

Taoist feng shui masters believe very strongly in Fu Dogs and they also advise that these protective guardians should be empowered by dotting their eyes. Dotting their eyes implies inviting heavenly protective energy to empower the Fu dogs.

The Significance of the Ritual

The ritual of dotting the eye symbolically invites the benevolent spirit of the Fu Dog from heaven to take position at your entrance location and protect your home from evil spirits, guard against black magic spells and dissolve edit intentions sent to harm you.

Invite Fu Dogs Into Your Home

First, get yourself a pair of fierce looking Fu Dogs and choose a size that suits you doorway and whose appearance appeals to you. Select Fu Dogs in metal (brass) when you main door faces West, Northwest or North; get them carved in wood when you main door faces East, Southeast or South; choose them in marble or stone should your door be facing Southwest or Northeast.

Always remember to consider how you feel when choosing your fu dogs...go to a good shop with thriving energy and make sure the pair that you invite home doesn't look too unhappy or miserable!

Cleaning Your Fu Dogs

Now that you have chosen two beautiful Fu Dogs, prepare a solution of pomelo or lime leaves and clean them with a soft cloth to symbolically get rid of bad energy that may be clinging to them. You can also add some natural sea salt to the cleansing process. Wipe the Fu Dogs from the top of the head in downward strokes and as you reach the bottom use a flicking motion to get rid of the bad energy.

Positioning Your Fu Dogs

Place the fu dogs correctly flanking either side of our main door- they don't need to be elevated. Place the Male Fu Dog on the left side of the main entrance and the female Fu Dog on the right side (standing on the inside looking out). In case you don't know...the male dog is the one playing with the globe and the female is playing with the pup Fu Dog.

Dotting The Eye Ritual

Always select a good and suitable day between the 1st and 15th day of the lunar month. This ensures the Fu Dogs get consecrated during the time of the waxing, not the waning moon. Choose a day that does not conflict with your animal sign - refer to my 2012 Feng Shui Almanac for this information.
You can invite a Taoist master to perform the actual dotting of the eye ceremony...and of course a Taoist master who is highly qualified is best...especially one who has gone through proper training and whose motivation is good hearted or you can do it yourself.

Three Types of Red Liquid

There are three types of red liquid that can be used to dot the eye of a Fu Dog

1) Using red cinnabar ink "Chee Sha red powder"
2) Using Himalaya incense /blessed red joss stick
3) Using blood from the crown of a cockerel or human

The best is to use blood from either a cockerel or human because this imbues the Fu Dogs with living chi (I know this might sound strange to some of you). If you are using a cockerel, DO NOT KILL the animal...this is very bad luck - just get a small amount of blood and make sure it continues to live. If you are doing the dotting ceremony yourself, use cinnabar powder mixed with water.

Tying Red Ribbons

After the eyes have been dotted, tie the red ribbon pom pom around the next of the Fu Dog to imbue with yang energy and symbolize your ownership of tho pair of guardian dogs. You all need to change the red ribbon pom pom every year during the annual spring cleaning before New Year.

Re-energize The Fu Dog

Use Himalaya or Sandalwood incense to re-enervize the Fu Dog on the 1st and 15th day of each lunar month or get the services of a Taoist Master to check on your Fu Dogs every two years. This is because Fu Dogs get weakened after protecting their owners from all the bad energy and evil spirits after a period of time. If you are doing this yourself, you can repeat the dotting of the eyes ritual with red cinnabar ink.

If you have not yet invited a pair of Fu Dogs into your home...please consider doing this soon. Fu Dogs will guard your home from generation to generation.

Until next time
Lillian

Grand Master Lillian Too is undoubtedly the world's most prolific and popular writer and advocate on living with good feng shui! She has written over 100 books that have been translated into 31 different languages, and over 10 million copies of her books have been sold worldwide.

After graduating with an MBA from Harvard Business School, Lillian went on to pursue a highly successful business career in banking and finance in the 1980's in Hong Kong. Her business acumen, drive and abundant energy soon led her from the finance world to the world of luxury department stores and boutiques where, through a leveraged buy out, she became Chairman and shareholder of The Dragon Seed Group.

All the while she was guided and taught by her feng shui masters in Hong Kong and China - and she attributes much of her monumental and quick rise to success in Hong Kong directly to them.

Lillian soon decided to retire from active corporate life and return to Malaysia to raise her beautiful daughter, Jennifer, and spend more time with her family. It was at this time she began to devote her energy to writing and furthering her study of feng shui.

She published her first book in Malaysia in 1995 that quickly became a best seller and the rest is history. Today she is Chairman of Wofs.Com, a feng shui franchise and merchandising company run by her daughter, Jennifer Too.

She trains feng shui students and future consultants at her Certified Consulting Institute in Malaysia and is much loved by her readers, associates and students for the way she teaches practical feng shui in a user-friendly way, using ordinary situations and circumstances that interest people and affect their everyday lives.

In November 2009, at the International Feng Shui Convention in Singapore, the well-deserved title of GRAND MASTER OF FENG SHUI was conferred upon Lillian Too. Immediately following this accolade, in early January 2010, she received the prestigious Brand Laureate Personality of The Year Award presented by the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia! There seems to be no stopping her popularity and recognition these days!

Lillian believes everyone should know her secrets and learn how to adapt feng shui to modern life... and she warmly welcomes you into her Mandala.

Check the Length of Your Fingers

Did you know that when a woman's ring finger is longer than her index finger she will be more successful than her spouse? And when women have longer index fingers than ring fingers, and rigid thumbs they tend to be very dogmatic!

In both men and women, when the middle finger is longer than the index and ring fingers it indicates they have the upper hand in the home!

Forget Getting Even

It's happened to all of us. We are hurt by someone, deceived or cheated on. Once we've "licked our wounds" our first inclination is to get even with the one who has caused us pain or hurt us. If you have these thoughts, remember that your bravery is wasted when motivated by getting even. If your driving force is motivated by thoughts of revenge...you will not succeed and only cause yourself more pain.

Forget getting even.
